Here at Whitbread, we are seeking an experienced Business Analyst who will be responsible gathering requirements due to business needs and translating this into technical requirements for our technical teams. You will work with a variety of stakeholders specifically across tech and commercial.
The Business Analyst will also be analysing user needs, business processes, and data, and translating these into actionable business requirements and specifications.

What you’ll be doing:
As the Business Analyst, you will define and manage requirements for business and IT change initiatives along side examining the internal and external business environment, creating business models to facilitate the identification of future needs and inform target architectures and roadmaps for change.
Alongside the above, you will research, analyse and define current and proposed business processes; applying gap analysis to identify actions required to implement the revised process.
What you’ll need:
- Problem Solving & End-to-End Discovery
- Investigate root causes and define problem statements, shape initiatives from discovery through to delivery, ensure solutions address real business needs
- Produce requirement artefacts
- Business Requirement Documentation (BRD), Translate diverse stakeholder needs into actionable requirements (breaking down business needs into technical deliverables), write user Stories, define Acceptance Criteria, map user journeys, create Process Mapping, write Technical descriptions, etc.
- Stakeholder Management
- Lead discovery sessions and stakeholder discussions, build alignment across Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Business teams
- Technical Acumen
- Great technical awareness (APIs, integrations, architecture context), Non-functional requirements (performance, security, reliability)
- Agile Delivery and Backlog Management
- Good understanding of Agile Software Delivery Lifecycle and own and manage backlogs
